Had an amazing gig at the residence of Australia's Deputy Ambassador in Dasmarinas Village, Makati.  Thanks to Mr. Paul Baker for organizing this gig for MA.

JUANCHO & ANNE YACAPIN WEDDING

Our last gig for the year was held at Le Petit Paradis, Tagaytay. Juancho & Anne Yacapin's renewal of wedding  vows. It was a happy moment for the couple, family and their relatives who flew from the US and Cagayan De Oro in Mindanao to be at this event.

Sa balita kamakailan lang, isang "traffic enforcer" ang pinagba-baril di umano ng isang "traffice violator". Sinundan pa ito ng isang "traffic enforcer" ang binugbog ng mga jeepney drivers sa dahilang hinuhuli nila ang isang ka-jeepney driver nila.  Ito ba ang dahilan kung bakit nagkakaroon ng mga "Hipo"? Pwes, itigil na ang pango-ngotong.

This is one great artwork in my opinion.  For a young boy like Ira, his choice of colors are so captivating that I had to post it (even without Richie and Yen's permission) in this blogspot.  Two thumbs up Ira, keep up the good (art) work...  And here is Ira's mom comment on FB "is a proud mom... congrats son for achieving 1st place in poster making contest district level...galing galing.. last fri u won 3rd place and now u won just proved ur the one who really deserved the title...gud luck this coming October for another round (regional level)..go go go!!!!"

Enjoyed playing music for  Col. Froilan V. Bonifacio on his birthday.  Another interesting adventure travelling to and from Binangonan (unknown territory). Took the C6 route as recommended by Bro. Ditdit, the road was really bad.  Wala naman traffic pero mabagal lang ang takbo.  Got to Binangonan a bit early so we had a chance to look around.  Ate at Jollibee while exchanging text messages with Col. Bonifacio updating him our whereabouts.

Lots of uniformed men and women attended the party including Binangonan Mayor Ynares, Paul Baker (Chief of Security, Australian Embassy) with wife Anita.  Enjoyed the response of the audience to our performance, we must have done something interesting :).

Evolution of MASID Acoustic's Profile Pix/Logo

MASID Acoustic are so proud with these profile and logo pix which we spent a lot of time designing and re-designing until we finally got it right. Of course it does not stop there. Just lately Kyle came up with another design of MA's profile and header pix for our blogspot (Fig. 1). Prior to this, Fig. 2 was an idea for MA's business card, Fig. 2a,  is the outcome of that idea. Its been used in MA's FB profile for a while.  Fig. 3, was a photo taken by Ms. Diane of DLSU-Canlubang, great shot. This remained as MA's FB profile pix for the longest time. Fig. 4, was printed on a tarpaulin and used at ANO? Bar&Grill. Fig. 5, is also used in MA's blogspot while Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 were only ideas that have never been used anywhere, yet. Kyle has made all  of these ideas into what they are now and will remain MA's creations.

Wedding Gigs August 2011

August 14th, 2011 - We performed at Mr. Paul & Anita Baker's wedding in Intramuros, Manila, at the Patio Victoria, Diana Gardens. We thought it was going to be a church wedding. Good thing we took the Skyway that got us there just before the wedding started. Thanks to Ms. Rojinie Cortes for booking us this gig.

August 6th, 2011 - We performed at Yogi (Joy) & Danica Falaminiano wedding in Pasay, City, Manila, at the Pergola Boom Ground. Nice simple wedding. It was good to see some facebook friends attend the wedding. We finally saw each other face-to-face (eyeball). We also had a chance to listen to a group then called "Friends of Joy", singing their pieces acapela. We did what we could and we were happy.
